To enhance our successful Technology (TDI) Team in AT&S Malaysia in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, we are looking for a passionate Product Engineer .

Responsibilities

• Assess the manufacturing feasibility of customer designs and clarify technical details with customers to ensure designs are feasible compared to AT&S capabilities, summarize feasibility check results and optimization items, and gain customer agreement by conducting thorough feasibility studies and using clear communication strategies.
• Distribute information on customer requirements and prepare production information to detect and inform related departments of customer needs and implement customer designs into production by meticulously planning and organizing production data such as panel layouts and SAP input of production flow.
• Provide technical inputs to Sales to perform pre-cost calculations via the quotation system (SAP-VC) to support Sales in cost calculations, providing technical input based on customer design to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Provide technical support to external customers on design review and technology development to inform customers of AT&S capabilities and provide technical suggestions, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful ICS design.
• Provide technical support to internal customers (production, quality, sales / OH departments, etc.) to address customer complaints, design reviews, and yield improvements, ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
• Support R&D in the qualification of new materials and processes to ensure new materials and processes are qualified from a PE perspective and implemented based on customer or internal requirements.
• Act as the technical interface between production and external customers regarding technical issues to ensure customer designs are checked and communicated based on production capabilities and internal requirements, achieving agreed-upon implementations in production by coordinating with both parties.
• Understand the Customer original specification and perform DFM for each customer referring to their Original Specification.
• Identify cost-saving or cost-optimization opportunities in projects; during the DFM phase aim for best panel utilization and optimum process routes for cost efficiency and optimal cycle time.
• Handle Product / Process correction requests (PCR) and implement required changes as per the PCR.
• Lead the TFC meeting for every new customer project, ensuring all customer requirements are shared so everyone is aware of them.
