Job description

Requirements

  • Possess a Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of quantification principles and practices.
  • Exhibit basic cost estimating skills and the ability to contribute to cost analysis.
  • Ability to read, write, and converse fluently in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to company-specific quantity surveying procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with senior quantity surveyors.
  • Must be willing to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
  • Support senior quantity surveyors in the measurement and quantification of construction works.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and contract conditions.
  • Participate in site visits to assess progress, identify variations, and resolve contractual issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all project-related costs, quantities, and variations.
  • Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor quotations and invoices.
  • Support the procurement process by assisting in the preparation of purchase orders and contracts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly progress reports and final accounts.
  • Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations.
