Key Responsibilities
Monitor Workplace Safety :
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
Recommend and implement corrective / preventive measures.
Regulatory Compliance :
Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and other applicable safety and health regulations.
Liaise with DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, and other regulatory bodies when required.
Safety Policies & Procedures :
Develop and enforce company safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Update documentation in line with changes to laws or site conditions.
Training & Awareness :
Organize and conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, induction programs, and emergency drills.
Educate staff on safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Incident Investigation :
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Produce reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Documentation & Reporting :
Maintain records of inspections, incidents, audits, training, and PPE issuance.
Prepare periodic safety reports for management review.
Emergency Preparedness :
Develop and implement emergency response plans.
Ensure first aid kits and fire safety equipment are in place and functional.
Job Requirements
Possess a valid Green Book certified by DOSH (JKKP Malaysia).
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or oil & gas.
Good knowledge of Malaysian OSH legislation.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and under pressure.
