Finance Executive - Costing

Build and coordinate key metrics related to cost accounting, including analysis of actual manufacturing variances and financial performance.

Perform monthly cost variance analysis, actual vs. forecast financial bridging, and conduct root cause investigations.

Lead month-end close activities for inventory, including journal entries review, inventory movement monitoring, and reconciliation.

Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, focusing on product costing setup and efficient costing strategies.

Proactively identify and recommend process simplifications and automation opportunities to enhance costing accuracy and efficiency.

Oversee financial reporting compliance and support both internal and external audit processes by addressing audit queries related to product costing and inventory management.

Manage inventory control, risk assessments, and monitor results of physical stock counts and daily cycle counts.

Manage supplier statement of accounts to ensure AP balances reconcile accurately with suppliers.

Review customer collections receipts before posting to ensure accuracy.

Perform monthly physical stock counts and prepare variance reports.

Prepare and submit inventory listings for insurance declarations.

Liaise with consultants and external parties on finance-related issues as required.

Assist in month-end closing, monthly reporting, and preparation of budget and tax schedules.

Perform additional accounting and finance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CIMA or ACCA are preferred.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in costing and management accounting, ideally within the food processing or FMCG industry.
• Strong business insight and understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes in a food processing environment.
• Advanced analytical and Excel skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, integrity, and accountability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to interface confidently across multiple functions and organizational levels.
• Experience with Oracle ERP systems preferred.
• Knowledge of advanced data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
