Senior Associate - Software Tester role at PwC. PwC’s Workforce team helps organisations plan and transform HR capabilities, with a focus on automating and optimising HR processes for businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Laravel PHP applications based on functional and technical requirements.
- Perform manual and automated testing of web applications, focusing on functionality, usability, performance, security, and compatibility.
- Identify, document, and communicate defects clearly and effectively, working closely with the development team for timely resolution.
- Conduct regression testing to verify bug fixes and new feature integrations.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand application features and workflows.
- Ensure adherence to coding and testing standards in line with best practices for Laravel PHP development.
- Track software quality metrics and KPIs, reporting on quality status to stakeholders.
- Validate security features and help ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks related to Laravel PHP applications.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback related to quality concerns.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and testing methodologies specific to PHP and Laravel.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.Proven experience as a QC Engineer, QA Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role in a Laravel PHP development environment.Strong understanding of Laravel PHP framework and MVC architecture.Experience in manual testing of web applications and APIs.Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., PHPUnit, Selenium, Cypress, Laravel Dust) is a strong plus.Good knowledge of SQL and experience testing applications that use relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.Strong understanding of web technologies : HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs.Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.Ability to write clear and concise bug reports and documentation.Experience with continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines is a plus.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies.Preferred Qualifications
Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or Quality Assurance.Experience with security testing and vulnerability assessment tools.Prior experience in performance testing and load testing of web applications.Required and Optional Skills
