Business Development Manager, Product Certification

Reports to : Commercial Head of Product Certification, South Asia & Australia

Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Travel : 50%+, regular and frequent travel throughout Malaysia and visits to Singapore quarterly, plus exhibition attendance.

Language requirements : Essential - Fluent Malay and English (written and verbal)

Purpose Of The Role

The role of Business Development Manager (BDM) focuses on selling BSI Product Certification and Product Testing services to clients in the following sectors :

• Electrical / electronic components manufacturing
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Fire protection products
• IoT and sustainability products

This role is responsible for prospecting, identifying and managing sales opportunities, building relationships with clients to understand their business needs, and positioning BSI as a supplier of Product Certification services to clients looking to export their products into regions that recognise BSI certifications.
