Overview
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of homestay / short-stay units. This role ensures that every guest is welcomed into a comfortable, spotless, and well-prepared environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Make beds, replace linens, towels, and other guest supplies.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas to required hygiene standards.
- Empty trash bins and ensure proper waste disposal.
- Restock consumables (toiletries, tissue, water bottles, etc.) according to inventory guidelines.
- Conduct unit checks before guest arrivals and after check-outs.
- Report damages, missing items, or maintenance issues to the operator / management immediately.
- Follow cleaning checklist and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency.
- Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Uphold safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
Additional Duties (if required)
Assist with laundry and ironing of linens.Work with the team to improve guest satisfaction and reviews.Requirements
