Job description

Responsibilities

  • Perform change overs and equipment adjustments based on quality and cycle time requirements for the designated production line(s).
  • Monitor process conditions, equipment, and control systems.
  • Ensure operational activities and process performance are aligned with daily production plans.
  • Assist maintenance technicians in installation, debugging, repair and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Perform tasks related to autonomous maintenance, changeovers, inspection and testing of equipment and specific projects.
  • Use troubleshooting skills to resolve process-related deviations and problems, maintaining equipment reliability.
  • Perform immediate response activities and manage unplanned events; troubleshoot process problems to restore equipment to manufacturing capabilities with minimal downtime.
  • Diagnose process defects and equipment failure and solve problems with minimal rejects and downtime.
  • Assist in process equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements, and preventive maintenance, utilizing appropriate processes and disciplines.
  • Perform tasks assigned to operations per a standard task list, including field checks, equipment preparation, samples, etc.
  • Buddy new team members on daily duties.
  • Participate and contribute to improvements in plant performance and operating discipline.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in company activities pertaining to training, employee activity, firefighting, safety, and health.
  • Participate in daily line housekeeping (6S activities) and maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
  • Support department KPI and work as a team to achieve overall company quality objectives.
  • Undertake job-related tasks as assigned by superior / the management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronic or equivalent (prioritized).
  • Experience as a process technician in a manufacturing field (advantage).
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic MS Office skills such as Excel and Word.
  • Ability to troubleshoot.
  • Safety and environmental training and experience.
  • Willingness to work in shift rotation and extra hours.
  • Willingness to work at hot, noisy and dusty environments.
  • Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize.
  • Highly motivated, service-oriented and team-oriented individual.
