The Role

We seek a dynamic, self-driven, and highly talented Board Hardware Design and Test Engineer with extensive experience in analog / high-speed digital board design and testing to join our Board Development team in Penang, Malaysia. You will lead the design and testing of high-performance, complex boards for advanced applications in High Performance Computing, AI, Machine Learning, and 5G Wireless.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and test hardware of board products using AMD ASoC / FPGAs and other devices.
  • Develop and write Verilog code for digital logic circuits and interfaces for AMD FPGAs / ASoCs.
  • Design, verify, and validate FPGA designs against specifications.
  • Create and debug test benches.
  • Simulate FPGA / ASoC designs to verify functionality and performance.
  • Integrate FPGA designs with other hardware and software components.
  • Conduct hardware bring-up testing and Design Verification Testing (DVT).
  • Select components, perform schematic entry, create and release Bill of Materials (BOM) in Agile.
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Show passion for learning new technologies and applying them in design and testing.
  • Support manufacturing testing and debugging of prototype and production boards at assembly houses.

Preferred Experience

  • 10-12 years in FPGA / ASoC design and board hardware testing.
  • Experience in board bring-up, functional testing, and DVT.
  • Proficiency with Xilinx Vivado development tools and FPGA hardware / software debugging.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Academic Credentials

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
