Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned

Lead Full Stack Data Engineer

for a

2-year contract

based in Malaysia, collaborating closely with the Singapore team. The ideal candidate is an experienced full-stack developer with strong data engineering expertise to design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled products on the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and develop full-stack applications using modern JS / TS frameworks , React, Vue, Angular).
Design server-side APIs and microservices with frameworks like or Express.
Build and optimize ETL / ELT data pipelines using PySpark and Airflow for relational and document databases.
Integrate real-time data streams (Kafka, Kinesis) and ML / analytics endpoints.
Develop scalable storage solutions with efficient query tuning and indexing.
Implement CI / CD pipelines (GitLab CI / CD), containerize apps (Docker), and orchestrate deployments (Kubernetes / ECS Fargate).
Collaborate on cloud infrastructure provisioning with Terraform / CloudFormation and manage secrets (AWS Secrets Manager).
Create interactive dashboards and real-time visualizations , ECharts, Recharts).
Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices.
Work cross-functionally to refine requirements, automate testing, and ensure security.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's / Master's in CS, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related.

6+ years as a Full Stack Developer with a strong data engineering background.

Proficient in , React, Vue, or Angular with SSR experience.

Skilled in ) and REST / GraphQL API design.

Experience with PySpark and Airflow ETL / ELT pipelines.

Strong data modeling in PostgreSQL, Redshift, and MongoDB.

Familiarity with real-time streams (Kafka, Kinesis) and ML / analytics APIs.

Expertise in storage optimization, indexing, and materialized views.

CI / CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform / CloudFormation, and AWS services (S3, EMR, Redshift).

Testing skills with Jest, Mocha, pytest, Cypress, or Playwright.

Problem-solver with mentoring and cross-team collaboration skills.

Willing to travel 10-30%.
