Job description

Overview

  • Manage all material quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (internal, supplier and customer).
  • Work with internal manufacturing staff and material suppliers to resolve quality issues fast to prevent interruption to production.
  • Carry out New Supplier qualifications and yearly suppliers audit to ensure sustainable excellent product quality and compliance to IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standard.
  • Drive supplier corrective action (8D / SCAR) closure and verify effectiveness to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in new material approval and cost down projects.
  • Manage suppliers’ performance to ensure keeping to internal KPIs.
  • Participate as Internal auditor.
  • Drive supplier Quality Development and Improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Science or its equivalent field from recognized Higher Institution.
  • Minimum 3 years’ working experience in supplier management.

    • Attributes and skills

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 QMS standard.
  • Understanding AIAG core tools requirements of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
  • Teamwork and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in Problem-solving skills such as 8D, 5 WHY
  • Data analysis capability (SPC, Cpk, trend analysis) to drive fact-based decisions.
  • Able to travel to supplier sites (local and overseas) for site audits.
