Overview

Product Owner role at Materialise in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

What you will do

  • Understand and analyze customer needs, acting as their voice to the development team
  • Define and prioritize the team backlog while aligning with stakeholders inside and outside the team
  • Facilitate alignment and communication between the development team, internal stakeholders, and customers
  • Manage the product lifecycle, including internal and external product releases, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to quality standards
  • Co-organize Agile ceremonies such as PI planning, sprint planning, daily scrums, and demos
  • Collaborate with other product owners to improve best practices globally

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar)
  • Ideally 2 – 3 years of experience as a product owner, functional analyst, or in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively, balancing business and technical needs
  • Strong analytical skills to translate customer needs into actionable backlog items

  • Experience working with products in R&D, medical, or CAD / 3D printing industry-related fields
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies or SAFe, with experience in Agile / Scrum teams
  • Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Agile Product Owner-related certification (e.g., PSPO, POPM, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies
  • Experience providing product documentation, including user manuals and release notes
