Roles and Responsibilities
- Work, coordinate and liaise with business teams to facilitate the collection of KYC and other relevant documents for client onboarding
- Conduct comprehensive KYC reviews (including reasonableness checks and desktop research) of new and existing customers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Communicate directly with clients over both video and email for identity verification
- Handle AML screening of existing relationships, review and analyse SOW / SOF corroboration against client profiles to identify AML risks
- Perform reviews of customer accounts and transactions to identify suspicious activities
- Provide support for ad hoc projects and AML related audits
Skills Required
Bachelor degree with 2-3 years working experience in AML / KYC within the financial services industryKnowledge and familiarity with account opening and maintenance in Singapore and Hong Kong is a plusStrong emphasis on being proactive, organised, resourceful and meticulousGood verbal and written command of English and Mandarin for daily interactions with both internal and external stakeholders via different channels (phone, email, chat) - ability to speak Cantonese is a plusDemonstrated drive, adaptability and great working attitudeAbility to work independently and collaborate as a team when requiredProficiency in computer skills and interest in learning new tools and technologyPassionate and excited about wanting to build an innovative financial services companyCandidates must be able to legally work in Malaysia; no work visa sponsorship will be providedNote : While this role is currently remote, we are considering establishing a physical office in KL as we grow.
