Job description
Responsibilities
Pre- and post-contracts administration, which includes coordinating tender activities, monitoring materials, construction costs and procurement, site valuation, variation orders, verifying construction progress claims and finalization of accounts.
Able to prepare tender documents inclusive of measurement and BQ.
Familiar with market pricing on construction contract.
Prepare contract review during tender stage to identify contractual risks and entitlements for tendering purposes.
Review and verify contractual documents to ensure compliance with the contractual terms.
Monitor overall progress of work carried out by subcontractors at site and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and project’s time schedule.
Coordinate with consultants / engineers / subcontractors / suppliers and be responsible for the clarification of all contractual and technical matters.
Manage development costs throughout the project life, review and advise on the acquisition designs and construction processes, manage feasibility and costing phases, provide value engineering inputs through the construction processes.
Perform feasibility studies.
Perform monthly cost reporting.
Qualifications
Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building Engineering, Project Management, or its equivalent.
Minimum 5 years’ working experience in quantity surveying or contracts management, preferably in a building construction industry, Quantity Surveying Consultancy.
Experience in high-rise mixed commercial development is essential.
Well-developed skills in contracts administration (PAM 2006 / IEM), financial controls, procurement, pre-qualification, and project reporting.
Resourceful and systematic with excellent negotiating, planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills to strategize, manage and control tendering and procurement activities.
Independent, committed, reliable, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Willing to travel within Malaysia as and when required.
Willing to work at Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
