Overview
Cyber Defense Security Designer for IBM Mainframe Z Series (and iSeries). The role focuses on maintaining and improving the security posture of the organization's IT infrastructure based on IBM Mainframe Z Series (and iSeries) technology. The candidate will work with the security team and stakeholders to identify security risks and develop remediation strategies specific to IBM Mainframe Z Series and iSeries architecture, and will coordinate with Cyber Defense product teams on architecture, vision, and roadmaps to protect AXA data (including customer data).
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security assessments of IBM Mainframe Z Series and iSeries infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and determine remediation actions.
- Support distributed and other teams in implementing and maintaining IBM Mainframe Z Series and iSeries security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with applicable requirements.
- Perform periodic detailed assessments of operating system and infrastructure component security configurations to identify vulnerabilities and provide remediation options.
- Coordinate security incident response and investigations with relevant parties related to IBM Mainframe Z Series and iSeries.
- Provide IBM Mainframe Z Series and iSeries security guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
- Support the implementation of IBM Mainframe Z Series and iSeries-specific security controls for new systems and projects.
- Contribute to IBM Mainframe Z Series-specific security awareness training for employees and contractors.
- Identify potential security threats for IBM Mainframe Z Series and iSeries systems and proactively recommend and implement mitigations.
- Stay up-to-date on IBM Mainframe Z Series- and iSeries-specific threats and trends and recommend new technical, administrative, or process changes to improve security posture.
- Help shape the product vision and development roadmap for Cyber Security products relevant to the Mainframe environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.Relevant security certifications related to IBM Mainframe Z Series (e.g., IBM Certified Administrator - Security z / OS, IBM Certified Specialist - z Security Technical Sales) or equivalent qualifications.Overall work experience in IT security operations : minimum 8 years, with a focus on IBM Mainframe Z Series and iSeries.Experience with IBM Mainframe-specific security tools and technologies (e.g., RACF, zSecure, Syslog, CARLA, ICS).Knowledge of IBM Mainframe Z Series-specific security standards and frameworks (e.g., z / OS Security, RACF, zSecure).Experience building RACF reports in zSecure to support database authentication and onboarding / decommissioning applications into RACF structures.Strong understanding of SSO, Active Directory (AD), LDAP, PKI, privileged accounts, API integration, and digital certificates (Kerberos, SSH, etc.).Security architecture experience with a track record of creating and leading security product roadmaps (5+ years preferred).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for IBM Mainframe Z Series security challenges.Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to provide advice and technical support in IBM Mainframe Z Series security.Experience across Information Security disciplines and hands-on involvement with modern security domains (Cloud, SOC, SIEM, IAM, IPS / IDS, WAF, HIPS, firewalls, PKI, M365, Unix, AWS, Azure, Forensics, etc.).Fluent in English (spoken and written).#J-18808-Ljbffr
