Do you love challenges?

  • Manage message processing, technical incident handling, service and change requests, as well as problem management and root cause analysis.
  • Perform installation, patching, and upgrade activities for database and system environments.
  • Ensure performance monitoring, tuning, backup and restore, and recovery procedures are effectively executed.
  • Maintain high system availability, including disaster recovery configurations.
  • Provide technical expertise to optimize system operations and architecture.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and concepts to prevent issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with international teams, support global knowledge transfer, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for customers, ensure internal knowledge sharing, and mentor juniors and trainees.
  • Plan, set up, and implement technical migration projects and contribute to continuous improvement in products and processes.

  • University Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • A degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field; alternatively, relevant IT training or experience as a career changer with strong IT affinity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of technical aptitude and a customer-focused, solution-oriented approach.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in database administration and architecture, particularly with Oracle or SAP HANA; additional experience with MS SQL or MySQL is an advantage.
  • Proven experience working in large-scale, 24 / 7 production environments.
  • Expertise in debugging and analyzing complex database issues.
  • Solid understanding of performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming, especially SQL and Python, as well as strong working knowledge of Linux.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to participate in weekend and on-call support and to work effectively as part of a globally distributed team.
