Responsible for developing manufacturing methods for advanced technology products, supporting new process development, product introductions, cost reduction initiatives, and capital justifications under the guidance of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
What will you be doing?
Provides daily production floor support and ensures compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulations. Actively contributes to safety, sustainability, and energy-saving initiatives by identifying hazards, reporting incidents, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Develops JHA documentation, manufacturing procedures, and supports process validations, engineering studies, and investigations under general supervision.
Plays a key role in developing and improving manufacturing methods, creating work instructions, programming machines, and designing simple tools and fixtures. Supports productivity and cost-saving projects, including leading smaller initiatives and participating in larger ones. Assists in new product development (NPD) activities and may lead capital equipment acquisitions. Shift work and overtime may be required as needed. Other duties may be assigned by the manager.
What will you need to be successful?
A Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, or a related field is required, with preferred experience levels depending on the seniority of the role. Candidates should have relevant industry experience, particularly in manufacturing environments. Hands-on knowledge in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T principles, AutoCAD, and various project management tools is highly valued. For senior roles, the ability to lead projects with limited supervision and perform capability analyses using tools like Minitab is preferred.
The role demands strong technical and analytical skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis, apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, and drive efficiency improvements. Candidates should demonstrate decision-making capabilities, effective communication, and adaptability in a dynamic environment. Proficiencies such as critical thinking, self-awareness, empathy, and a results-oriented mindset are crucial for success.
Physically, the position requires a mix of standing, walking, and sitting, as well as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequent use of hands and arms, as well as strong vision capabilities, are vital for daily tasks.
