Requirements

  • Possess a valid GDL license and a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrate safe driving skills and adherence to traffic regulations.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of goods.
  • Communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Secondary / SPM / 'O' Level education or equivalent.
  • Entry level position suitable for fresh graduates.

Responsibilities

  • Operate lorry safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations while transporting goods to designated locations in Kajang and surrounding areas.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lorry, ensuring that all vehicle systems are functioning correctly and reporting any maintenance issues promptly to the supervisor.
  • Load, unload, and secure cargo properly, following established procedures to prevent damage during transit and ensuring accurate delivery of goods to customers or designated drop-off points.
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes, utilizing navigation tools and local knowledge to minimize travel time and fuel consumption while ensuring timely and efficient delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, delivery times, and any discrepancies or issues encountered during the route, submitting reports to the supervisor as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the lorry, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and lights, and coordinating with the maintenance department for more extensive repairs or servicing.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members, providing updates on delivery status, addressing any concerns or inquiries, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
