Qualification and Experiences -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). -2 to 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a DevOps role with strong database responsibilities. -Proven experience managing and optimizing relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server. -Proficiency in SQL scripting and database performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing, and resource management. -Hands-on experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., Amazon RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL). -Familiarity with database version control and automation tools (e.g., Liquibase, Flyway, or custom CI / CD database pipelines). -Strong understanding of backup and recovery strategies, replication, and high-availability (HA) setups. -Experience implementing database security best practices, including encryption, access control, and auditing. -Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Cloudwatch, Datadog). -Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for database provisioning and configuration. -Basic familiarity with CI / CD concepts and how database workflows integrate into application deployment pipelines. -Solid understanding of Linux / Unix environments, especially for hosting and managing databases. -Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. a Necessity, not a Luxury
