GL Accountant

Job Description

Our client is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join its shared services team based in Kuala Lumpur. This role will support the full spectrum of general ledger activities for a key regional market, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with global standards.

Location : Kuala Lumpur

Salary : up to RM7,500

Key Responsibilities :

Manage daily general ledger entries and maintain financial data integrity

Lead monthly and quarterly closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations

Perform variance analysis and support management reporting

Collaborate with internal teams (AP, AR, Tax, Treasury) to streamline the R2R process

Support internal and external audits, and assist in process improvement initiatives

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3–5 years of experience in GL or financial reporting

Strong Excel skills; ERP knowledge is a plus

Fluent in English, with Mandarin proficiency is a must (for market support)
