Requirements
- Possess a Diploma / Professional Cert. in Quantity Surveying, Interior Design Industry, Renovation or a related field.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 4~5 years of progressive experience in quantity surveying, cost management, and contract administration within the renovation or interior design industry.
- Proficient in cost estimation techniques, with the ability to accurately prepare and analyze project budgets, cost plans, and tender documents.
- Strong quantitative analysis skills, capable of performing detailed measurements, pricing, and cost control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Experience in project management, including the ability to monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential for effective communication and collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Familiarity with relevant software applications such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and costing tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in managing and mentoring junior quantity surveyors and project coordinator is an advantage.
Responsibilities
To lead quantity surveyor and Project Coordination Team and to set up internal pricing system.To train project coordinators in cost estimation, pricing strategy and communication.Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for renovation and interior design projects, encompassing materials, labor, and equipment costs, while considering potential risks and contingencies.Conduct detailed quantitative analysis of project requirements, including reviewing architectural plans, specifications, and bills of quantities to ensure accurate cost forecasting and resource allocation.Manage project costs effectively by tracking expenditures, monitoring budgets, and implementing cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within allocated financial parameters.Identify and assess potential risks associated with project costs, develop mitigation strategies, and implement risk management plans to minimize financial exposure and ensure project profitability.Administer contracts effectively by preparing contract documents, negotiating terms and conditions with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.Maintain meticulous records of project costs, variations, and claims, and prepare regular reports for management, providing insights into project financial performance and potential areas for improvement.Provide expert advice and guidance on quantity surveying matters to project teams, offering technical support and ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Benefits
