JOB SUMMARY
As the Manager, Digital Products, APEC, you will be responsible for the driving a localized and relevant customer digital experience for APEC (Asia Pacific Excluding China) consumers through building and enhancing Marriott’s digital products and platforms. You will work closely with multiple in region business stakeholders (both property and corporate facing) to determine a prioritized set of enhancements and functionality for our digital channels and partner with global and vendor teams to implement and build features. In a dynamic digital ecosystem, you will be responsible for understanding the customer across APEC markets, prioritizing, and delivering value iteratively across Marriott’s digital channels.
Responsibilities
- Develop a distinctive and forward-thinking digital solution informed by customer research and product insights
- Define and document business cases, use cases, and requirements
- Responsible for monitoring product development from ideation to launch, focusing on analyzing, positioning, and tailoring the product into what customers want.
- Support Product Owner to manage cross-functional product delivery and works closely with cross functional Business / Digital disciplines to turn product vision from requirement into reality.
- Partner closely with Global Digital stakeholders from planning through to launch of Digital products and features
- Assist Product Owner in refinement of Marriott APEC digital product vision and strategy. Assist, plan and execute measure to represent customer and business needs.
- Evaluate Digital Ecosystems commonly used in APEC (Grab, Line, Kakao, Whatsapp, etc) and the value it will bring to Marriott and its customers
- Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
- Conduct ongoing competitor, market, and digital trends benchmarking and research
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
4-year degree from an accredited college or university5+ years’ experience in developing digital products, new enhancements, features related to Web & App digital products and platforms5+ years working in one or more APEC countries in a digital capacity; demonstrates deep knowledge and understanding of customer digital behavior and digital trends5+ years working with cross functional teams, product owners, etc., ideally in a consulting capacity5+ years managing development teams using Agile software methodologyLed multiple successful products and feature launch, with experience from ideation to design and delivery. Clear understanding & experience of how an online digital product is built. Ability to assess delivery risks and understand high level of effort for stories / tasksDemonstrates self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasmSelf-motivated team player that works well with counterparts from various functions / departments and can influence the work of counterparts without direct reporting accountabilityThrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, but within a large, complex businessAbility to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy speed-to-market requirementsFlourish in ambiguity, setting own goals and effectively delivering them in a very fast-changing environment. Define business cases and opportunities based on research and business data. Lead agile teams to develop solutions to address meaningful business problems and opportunities, with the consideration of cross disciplines as well as guest pain points and requirements.Drive and perform design, development, and test activities ensuring digital products delivered on schedule, includes resource coordination and issues escalation management.Regularly communicate product status & work with other disciplines on new product development or existing product improvementWork with third party partners to assemble appropriate project teams for new and existing projects.
