About the role :

The company is seeking a talented and seasoned Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to join our finance team. As a Senior Financial Reporting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting.

Financial Control & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to banking regulations, internal financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to manage financial and operational risks.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and finance teams to design financial structures for new digital banking offerings.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting frameworks tailored to new banking products.
  • Ensure accurate accounting treatments, cost allocations, and revenue recognition for newly introduced services.
  • Support the integration of new payment platforms, fintech collaborations, and transaction reconciliation activities.
  • Coordinate with auditors by preparing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, asset register updates, account notes, and reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial performance to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure financial reporting complies with IFRS / MFRS and internal policies.

    • Process Optimization & Technology Integration

  • Utilize automation and digital tools to improve reporting accuracy and speed.
  • Enhance financial processes related to digital payments, transactions, and reconciliations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and systems.

    • Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with finance, risk, compliance, and IT teams to promote transparency and alignment.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions by senior management.

    • Additional Requirements

  • The candidate should demonstrate flexibility and readiness to take on ad-hoc financial tasks as required.

    • Requirements

    Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or MICPA, ACCA, CPA, or its equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of working experience in an accounting-related field. Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or banking sector is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting financial operations for new digital banking products is highly preferred.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (ie : Workday)
  • Advanced Excel skills is required and experience with financial analytics tools is a plus.
