Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Entry-level position; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in account reconciliation, invoicing, and data entry.
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting and bookkeeping principles.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work onsite in Johor Bahru.
  • Familiarity with social media and marketplace platforms is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely invoices to clients, ensuring all relevant details are included and in compliance with company policies.
  • Perform daily data entry tasks, accurately recording financial transactions into the accounting system and maintaining organized records.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial statement preparation.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies, reporting findings to the senior accountant.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both physical and electronic, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties, such as vendors and clients, to resolve accounting-related inquiries and issues.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and assisting with the gathering of information requested by auditors.
