RTR Senior Process Associate - Bangsar South

Responsible for the efficient execution of finance transactional processes and controls in line with Group Finance Manual, MAPs, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. The role also involves supporting project coordination across the South Asia cluster, ensuring alignment and successful delivery. Additionally, assists the Reporting Manager with month-end closing, audits, standardization efforts, and other ad hoc tasks.
What will you be doing?
Responsible for ensuring all financial transactions are accurately documented and comply with Group standards, including Minimum Acceptable Practices and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Delivers high-quality, timely reporting for both group and statutory purposes, and provides ad hoc analysis and decision support to the business.
Performs Record-to-Report (RTR) closing activities, including monthly reporting, HFM uploads, and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations, with a focus on resolving long-outstanding items. Actively collaborates with internal stakeholders, providing timely responses to queries and maintaining a strong service orientation.
Supports project coordination and execution by working with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery. Contributes to standardization initiatives, system / process enhancements, and maintains up-to-date process documentation. Assists the Reporting Manager with ad hoc tasks and project-related activities as needed.
What will you need to be successful?
The candidate holds a degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance and brings over 3 years of post-qualification experience, either from a global accounting firm or industry. They possess strong technical accounting knowledge, with hands-on expertise in IFRS reporting standards. Fluency in English and the local language, along with effective interpersonal skills, support their ability to collaborate in diverse environments.
In addition to a solid accounting background, the candidate has worked in areas such as commercial accounting, legal entity reporting, and Record-to-Report processes, including account consolidation and handling complex transactions. Their experience with systems like SAP, Hyperion, and AX2009 / 2012 enhances their capability in delivering accurate and timely financial outputs.
Experience in large or listed organizations and shared service environments adds further value, particularly in highly regulated sectors. Exposure to the medical device or pharmaceutical industries is a plus, and project management certifications (e.g., PMI or Udemy) contribute to their ability to lead or support financial projects efficiently.
