Job Description

Saladplate – Content & Insights Hub for the Hospitality, Food & Beverage Portfolio

Saladplate is an online content and insights hub for the Hospitality, Food & Beverage portfolio by Informa Markets. One of the largest portfolios within Informa Markets with over 35 large-scale global events, the platform (Saladplate) reaches over 600,000 industry professionals through a combination of content-driven products including independent news, a bi-monthly e-magazine, e-newsletters, in-person business breakfast events for c-level executives, a consolidated supplier directory, whitepapers, and special Focus On country reports.

We seek a data-driven, technology-oriented yet creative Senior Marketing Executive to support the day-to-day operations of the marketing department, including preparing and delivering a marketing plans and campaigns with the objective of driving relevant organic traffic to the platform and focusing on conversion / leads and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marketing online content platforms, and the trade fairs industry and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

IM Malaysia would like to invite suitable candidates to apply for the above position. In this role, the ideal candidate will possess well-rounded experience and skills in direct marketing, digital marketing and other form of promotion and communication for online content platforms and B2B Events.

The candidate will work with internal project teams as well as with external partners and vendors / contractors to achieve overall marketing event goals. You will play an important role to :

  • Responsible on the production of marketing materials and campaigns to promote the content platform
  • Work out effective marketing campaigns to engage audiences, and undertake campaign planning and execution for multi-channel and cross device marketing by proposition to deliver campaign metrics
  • Translate marketing strategies into practical campaign execution metrics including acquisition targets, customer engagement and retention targets, brand awareness and new proposition development and other innovation goals
  • Implement content strategy with wider marketing and related teams ( Creative), to define specific content, customer experience and target journeys by channel and specific measurable goals to inform optimisation and RoI
  • Manage processes and platforms to ensure appropriate visibility and tracking of multi-channel conversion and channel attribution
  • Leverage in depth audience understanding to better target / personalise marketing content that resonate with audiences at the right time

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need to have :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications or Marketing discipline or equivalent years of practical relevant experience
  • Min 2 years of experience in leading / executing marketing campaigns including organic and paid campaigns for projects / events / products
  • Excellent language proficiency in English; Ability to speak and write in Chinese and / or Bahasa Malaysia is a bonus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Strong presentation skills
  • Effective knowledge in digital marketing – web channel, social media, web analytics, emails marketing system, database management system.
  • Creative mind-set towards designing and content creation.
  • Desire to develop skills and knowledge
  • Possess a knack for multi-tasking and take pride in flawless work.
