SME M365 & Collaboration Tools
Purpose
The Subject Matter Expert (SME) for M365 and Collaboration Tools will be responsible for ensuring the optimal User Adoption of the M365 Applications and Services. This role involves developing and maintaining M365 Applications, providing technical support and collaborating with various departments to enhance and improve the usage of M365 Applications.
Additionally, the SME for M365 and Collaboration Tools will act as an internal sales advocate, promoting the benefits and features of M365 products within the organization.
Interrelations
This function reports to the Digital Workspace Manager.
Main responsibilities
- Act as the M365 SME within the GBS Tech department.
- Developing and implementing solutions using M365 and collaboration tools like Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive to meet organizational needs.
- Ensure M365 tools are utilized efficiently and integrated with other tools in our portfolio, such as Teams with ServiceNow.
- Be on top of innovation in his or her technical area.
- Providing advanced support and troubleshooting for M365 services and collaboration tools, ensuring minimal downtime and resolving complex issues.
- Creating and delivering training sessions for end-users and IT staff, as well as developing comprehensive documentation and best practices.
- Ensuring that M365 services and collaboration tools are used in compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
- Assist with M365 aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and demergers.
- Developing automation scripts and optimizing processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of M365 and collaboration tools.
- Advise on M365 investment budgets.
- Acting as a liaison between the organization and Microsoft, advocating for customer needs, and providing feedback to Microsoft for product improvements.
- Advocate for the benefits and features of M365 products within the organization to drive adoption and utilization across GBS and other Business Units.
- Advise and support the M365 & Collaboration Tools Specialists, Shift-left and the rest of GBS Tech team.
Qualifications
Excellent written and spoken English skills and ability to understand & convey complex IT scenarios.University level degree in Computer Science or relevant industry experience.Documented result achievement and ability to deliver.Competency in the technologies that this team is responsible for.Service minded attitude and ability to communicate with all levels within the business.Project Management skills.ITSM knowledge (ITIL Foundation or similar).Join our global team for a career filled with opportunities to solve challenges both small and large, local and global, simple and complex!
