ASSISTANT SCIENCE OFFICER (GRADE C5)

Requirements

• Diploma in Science (Biotechnology / Biomedical / Biology. Pharmacy / Medical Science / Animal Science) or any relevant field recognised by the Government from any local institutions of higher learning or equivalent qualification.
• Having experience with laboratory animal care and / or inspection of laboratory / medical facilities is an added value.
• Strong organizational and administration skills.
• Willingness to learn about research ethics, animal care, quality system and related government / international policy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Attention to details and ability to mange multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using computer software (Microsoft Office / Google apps / Adobe Acrobat / Zoom) for committee activities.
• Office environment with occasional travel to research sites (for inspection of animal lab and medical facility) or conference.
• May require flexible working hours to accommodate committee meetings and deadlines.
• May involve in inspection of animal facilities which may exposed to animal fur or other allergen, person with animal allergy is not recommended to apply for this post.
• Practicing Muslim and Consistent in covering aurah.
• Applicants should be a Malaysian Citizen.

LANGUAGE QUALIFICATION

All candidates must have obtained Credits (at least C) for Bahasa Malaysia and English (including oral examination) in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
