About the Role
Responsible for the end-to-end product development of new products or enhancements to existing products, ensuring alignment with market demand and the company's strategic goals or Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). This comprehensive role encompasses several key stages which includes the ideation stage, development, approval, implementation, and the product launch. The role also requires extensive coordination with various cross-functional teams such as channel distribution, actuarial, investment, marketing, technical teams, operations, and Tribe members to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Conduct Market Research and Analysis : Perform comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential gaps or opportunities in the takaful market. This includes studying customer needs, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
- Generate New Ideas : Develop innovative ideas for new products, campaigns, or enhancements to existing products. This involves brainstorming sessions, customer feedback analysis, and leveraging market insights to create compelling product proposition.
- Coordinate with Relevant Functions : Collaborate with various functions such as channel distribution, actuarial, investment, marketing, technical teams, operations, and Tribe members to ensure that the design and refinement of products are aligned with business objectives and customer expectations.
- Obtain Necessary Approvals : Secure all required approvals from the Product Steering Committee (PSC), Product Development Committee (PDC), and Shariah Committee for new products, enhancements, and campaigns.
- Provide Advice and Feedback : Offer expert advice and feedback on product pricing and marketing strategies which includes analysing data, customer preferences, and competitive pricing to ensure the products remains relevant and competitive.
- Develop and Execute Product Launch : Manage and implement comprehensive product launch. This involves planning marketing campaigns, preparing marketing materials, performing User Acceptance Testing and coordinating with relevant teams to ensure a successful product launch.
- Monitor Product Performance : Track and analyze product performance post-launch. Use data-driven insights to make continuous improvements, ensuring that products meet performance targets and customer satisfaction levels.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all products comply with relevant regulatory guidelines which includes staying updated on regulatory changes.
- Provide Guidance to Junior Staff : Coach and guide junior staff on day-to-day task.
Minimum Job Requirements :
Education – Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science or Islamic Finance.Experience – Preferably with minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience in the insurance or Takaful industry, combination of product development, product marketing, pricing or actuarial.Other skills – Possesses strong leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Confident, proactive, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders and projects independently.
