We are looking for a Head of IT Operations(Banking) who will be responsible for strategic initiatives and ensure full SLA compliance while promoting a collaborative culture. Manage a team, maintain stakeholder relationships, and support the expanding data centre industry and disaster recovery. Ensure recovery readiness to support business functions in case of a disaster.
Responsibilities :
- Provide strategic and technical leadership for data centre operations in Malaysia.
- Promote a culture of zero-downtime and ensure 100% SLAs and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to Group DC baseline policies, procedures, and systems.
- Lead and participate in group-wide initiatives such as sustainability, safety, and cybersecurity programs.
- Track and report on DC operational performance metrics to drive improvements.
- Manage risk and ensure compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the rollout of operational teams, systems, and vendors in new data centres.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements :
Proficiency in service and operational management of critical MEP infrastructure and ITIL frameworks. Strong understanding of technical matters, including mechanical and electrical systems.Familiarity with ISO standards and local codes of practice related to DC operations. Preferred certifications such as Certified Disaster Recovery,Solid knowledge in AWS / Azure / Google networks (NATGW, IGW, VGW, TGW, CloudWAN, VPC peering and etc)Knowledge of disaster recovery technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices especially MTD (Minimum Tolerable Downtime) RTO (recovery time objectives) and RPO (recovery point objectives) for the organizations systems.Bachelors degree in engineering, Science, IT, or a related field, atleast 8 years of experience in data centre operations management.Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.Proven track record of successfully implementing IT disaster recovery initiatives in complex environments.Ability to lead during crises and manage major changes and incidents.
