Leveraging the heritage, design innovations and manufacturing efficiencies previously offered by our Powerscreen® and Terex Mobile Processing Equipment (Terex® Finlay) lines, Terex Washing Systems is now the single source provider of washing equipment for our Materials Processing Segment. TWS is committed to providing outstanding customer support and expertise in the field to meet customers’ individual needs through our global dealer network as well as our dedicated team of engineers, applications, sales, marketing and aftersales technicians.
Reporting to the Operational Service Manager and working closely with the TWS Sales and Engineering teams, the Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for providing a first-class service to our dealers and customers in North America including onsite technical assistance, sales, applications, commissioning, and training on our products.
Position is based out of Louisville, KY but the candidate may reside elsewhere in the US.
Summary :
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Commissioning Service Engineer to serve as the factory representative for the installation of our industrial / commercial washing systems at customer sites. This position would also provide ongoing technical assistance and training for existing plants.
The ideal candidate has experience with electromechanical systems, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service skills. You will be the face of the company, ensuring our equipment is operating at peak performance and clients are fully supported.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, commission, and test washing systems (e.g., conveyor washers, cabinet washers, tunnel washers) at customer locations.
- Assist with technical guidance for routine preventive maintenance and emergency services, on-site or remotely.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults and implement timely repairs.
- Provide training and technical support to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and parts usage.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and technical teams for product improvements and support.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and customer site requirements.
- Travel regularly to customer sites, sometimes on short notice.
Basic Qualifications :
HS Diploma or GED1-3 years of service experience on industrial heavy equipment.Good computer experience required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.Travel Required – 50-75%Must be able to pass MVRMust be able to obtain a US passportPreferred Qualifications
Associates / Technical degree or technical certification in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.2+ years of field service experience with industrial machinery or washing equipment preferred.Familiarity with control panels, pumps, motors, valves, and piping systems.Solid mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems and the ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings.Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, both in-person and over the phone.Ability and willingness to make decisions with purpose and a strong sense of urgency to resolve equipment failures promptly.Ability to work independently and use available resources to complete tasks with minimal supervision.Must interact well with others in a diverse environment and be a team player.Must be dependable and punctual.Training experience, conducting training seminars and hands-on demonstrations.Why Join Us
