Objectives of the Position
Digitalization is an integral part in BASF’s business. In Financial Order-to-Cash, we drive digitalization and innovation to optimize operational processes that translates to business outcomes and creates better customer experience. This position aims at supporting the Financial Order-to-Cash workstreams to :
- Collaborate and contribute to the development and roll out of innovative digital solutions to enhance operational excellence and service quality
- Contribute on BASF digital roadmap, to identify, execute and implement customer-centric digital solutions in an actionable and measurable way
Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities
Digitalization / Innovation :
Plan and coordinate with functional teams, GB / GD technology units on end-to-end assessment for automation or other digital feasibility, define technical / functional requirements and project plansDevelops and configures automation processes as per technical design document to meet the defined requirementsPlanning and coordination for user acceptance testing, user training, deployment management and post-production supportsConducts regular progress review, monitoring. Communicates any identified project risks and issues to the delivery / project manager accordingly and provides inputs to the change control processRequired to work with various new middleware and portal technologies and translate functional requirements between solution consultants and business usersLeadership :
This role requires working collaboratively with multiple functions, act as regional representative to share or update various initiatives in Financial Order-to-Cash or in various digital communities across BASF organizationProvide technical trainings or advisory when required and serve as technical mentor in design, development, and system integration within Financial Order-to-Cash Hub KLSustainable Solution :
Able to drive change management of implemented solution as per new requirements using structured change control processTroubleshoots and resolve technical issues for implemented solutionsDevelop and document configuration best practices, create and maintain solution / technical documentation and provide training to relevant usersPlan and organize workaround solution and turnaround time to manage operational impact on tool(s) scheduled downtimeCompliance & Quality Management :
Participate in any compliance audits and respond to audit queries (for both internal and external)Perform reasonability checks on productivity, efficiency, quality and keep track of historical dataEducation
Minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics or equivalentWorking Experience & Skills
Minimum of 3 years related working experienceExperience in practical implementation of low-coding application development or automation projectsTechnical & Professional Knowledge
Proficiency in English with good communication, articulation and writing skillsAdvanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Software (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint)Strong digital mindset and IT literacy, excellent design, coding, testing and debugging skillsScripting experience using Visual Basic / C# / Java / Python / SQL or other programming languages. Licensed UiPath scripter as added advantageExperience and familiarity with business analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.Solid knowledge of database design and writing SQL Server queries, view and stored procedures as added advantageCommunicate with openness, clarity, organizational awareness, and empathy to achieve desired results, particularly driving organization changeMust be able to work with minimal supervisionMust be a team player and able to work with internal / external stakeholdersBASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre was established in 2005.
