The Role

We are seeking a results-oriented SEO Specialist to drive our organic growth across both global and local markets. In this highly impactful role, you’ll work closely with product, content, and engineering teams to shape and execute a scalable SEO strategy that directly fuels business outcomes.

This is a hands-on role involving both strategic direction and detailed execution. You’ll leverage the latest tools, data, and frameworks to grow performance through sustainable SEO best practices and real-time optimisation.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies across technical, on-page, and off-page areas
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and site audits to uncover growth opportunities
  • Optimise metadata, content hierarchy, internal linking, and site structure
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with regional and local content, marketing, and development teams to align SEO with business goals
  • Monitor and analyse performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Identify and fix technical SEO issues (crawlability, page speed, mobile-friendliness, structured data, etc.)
  • Stay up to date with search engine algorithms and update strategies accordingly
  • Provide SEO recommendations for marketing campaigns, new launches, and site improvements
  • Help optimise both English and Bahasa Malaysia content for local SEO (where relevant)

  • Comfortable communicating in English; Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin is a plus
  • Experience working on Malaysia-based or regional SEO projects is a bonus
  • Requirements

  • 1–3 years of hands-on SEO experience (in-house, agency, or freelance) with a proven track record of growing organic traffic and rankings
  • Strong knowledge of SEO principles, algorithms, and ranking factors
  • Technical SEO understanding (e.g. site architecture, schema markup, mobile-first indexing)
  • Proficiency in tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, or similar
  • Strong collaboration skills across engineering, content, and marketing
  • Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with international SEO and geo-targeting strategies
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript as it relates to SEO
  • Experience with GA4, GTM, Looker Studio, or ETL workflows
  • Exposure to AI tools or automation in digital marketing
  • Understanding of CRO, paid search, or broader growth channels
