Job Description
As a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, your primary responsibility will be maintaining and updating a suite of automated tests for the team’s CI / CD pipeline and providing manual testing for larger releases.
You will execute, and proactively improve test plans for Keypath’s technology platform.
Working with subject matter experts across IT, marketing, recruitment, student services and finance, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, scalable technology solutions, maximizing efficiency, and optimizing the student experience.
Responsibilities :
Work with the Product Management Team and Development Manager, to understand business needs and software requirements and develop both manual and automated test cases reflecting needs and requirementsProvide mentorship and leadership and review and assign QA related tasks to QA team members and consultantsDevelop and execute detailed, comprehensive, well-structured test plansApply industry best practices, develop new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are metConduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing sufficient details to understand, resolve and future-proofAct as key point of contact for all web releasesEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesDiagnose defects and track them from discovery to resolutionMaintain quality assurance documentation / wikiQualifications
Required Skills and Experience :
7+ years hands-on experience in either web or software QAPrevious experience providing project level mentorship and leadership to QA team members and consultantsSQL – must be able to write / modify SQL queriesDemonstrated experience developing and executing rigorous test plansExperience testing APIs using tools like Postman, SOAP UI, etc.Familiarity with entire software development life cycle and test cycles (Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress & Scale, Smoke & Sanity)A solid understanding of how different devices and browsers impact testingDetailed and effective written communication skills for documenting the features tested and bugs foundExperience with project management software (e.g., Azure Devops, JIRA)Comfortable performing hands-on test related activitiesHighly organized, detail oriented with the desire to learn moreExperience debugging flow of dataAbility to effectively write and execute both white box and black box test casesFamiliarity with automated testing techniques and developmentPreferred Skills (not essential)
Experience with Selenium Web Driver or similar toolingExperience testing for accessibilityCRM experience (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce)
