The International Recruitment Officer – Malaysia plays an important role in the recruitment of quality students from Malaysia to study at the institution, and the representation of the institution globally. Reporting to the Regional Lead, the International Recruitment Officer works closely with staff and external stakeholders to support recruitment and other international activities in Malaysia, and other countries as required.
This includes representing the institution at recruitment events, proactive engagement with prospective students to support their recruitment journey, and providing training to registered partners. - Working closely with the Regional Lead, support the meeting of recruitment and conversion targets set for the market and other markets as requested.
- With guidance from the Regional Lead, support the implementation of specific recruitment strategies.
- Contribute to the institution’s market intelligence through gathering, synthesising and sharing relevant current market information and opportunities that can support recruitment targets.
- Maintain positive, strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including education agents, prospective students and high schools, through in-person visits, training sessions, virtual / telephone meetings and email communication.
- Represent the institution, demonstrating professionalism and its values, at education promotion and recruitment events, such as exhibitions, seminars, and events organised by recruitment agents or directly, and actively contribute to raising the institution’s profile and marketability.
- Work collaboratively across the International Student Recruitment team and other internal teams, including academic areas and Marketing, to build capability, improve recruitment activity, and support marketing and promotion efforts in relevant markets.
- Work effectively with International Admissions to ensure Admission Guidelines and Policies are adhered to, and that all recruitment activities are compliant with the ESOS National Code and broader compliance obligations.
- Undertake travel within Malaysia and other countries as requested, which may occur outside of business hours and over weekends.
- Assist the Regional Lead and Regional Manager(s) with a range of other tasks as required including, but not limited to : Organising and conducting visits to campus by agents, institutional representatives, and other officials from the relevant region Stakeholder relationship management and representing International Student Recruitment in relevant forums within and external to the institution Supporting effective and efficient operation of recruitment activities in relevant markets, including through administrative support Undertaking other duties as assigned by the Regional Lead, Regional Manager(s), or other senior team members
What We’re Looking For
Undergraduate degree in business, management, or a related fieldMinimum two years’ experience in international education recruitment, or experience in sales and delivering on targets, with the ability to quickly acquire knowledge about international educationExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to groups and communicate with a diverse range of people and organisationsStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and complete a variety of tasks with accuracy and attention to detailProven ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently using initiative and judgmentFluency in EnglishValid passport and willingness to travel in Malaysia and overseas as required
