The Project Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing ongoing and upcoming projects within the South Asia cluster. The role also supports the Reporting Manager in project management activities, standardisation initiatives, and other ad hoc tasks assigned by management.
What will you be doing?
The Project Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring successful project execution by coordinating with multiple stakeholders to meet agreed timelines. The role involves providing expert advice on local statutory requirements, MAPs, and management reporting to guide stakeholders optimally. The coordinator is responsible for executing action plans within the controllership scope, identifying potential risks, and escalating them to the Controller to enable timely remediation planning.
In addition, the role supports regional and cluster-level standardisation initiatives and contributes to system, transaction, and process improvements. This includes preparing and maintaining up-to-date process documentation such as SOPs. The Project Coordinator also assists the Reporting Manager with various ad hoc activities and projects, contributing to overall operational efficiency and compliance.
What will you need to be successful?
This role requires a degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance, along with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in either global accounting practices or industry. Proficiency in English and local language skills is crucial, as well as strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, particularly IFRS reporting. The candidate should also demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
Additional qualifications that are advantageous include experience in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industries and certifications in project management (e.g., PMI, Udemy). The ideal candidate may also have prior experience in roles such as Commercial Accounting or Legal Entity Reporting, particularly involving consolidation processes and complex transactions.
Proficiency in financial systems like SAP, Hyperion, or TM1 is highly desirable. Experience working in a large or publicly listed company is also beneficial, indicating the candidate’s ability to navigate sophisticated reporting structures and regulatory requirements. This combination of technical expertise, proven experience, and communication skills is key to succeeding in the role.
