Penerangan pekerjaanConduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate their physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities, identifying areas where occupational therapy intervention can improve their functional independence. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, incorporating specific goals and therapeutic activities to address their unique needs and promote optimal recovery and participation in daily life. Implement a variety of occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications, to enhance patients' functional skills and independence. Provide education and training to patients and their families on strategies to manage their conditions, prevent further complications, and promote self-management skills to improve their overall quality of life. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to professional standards and legal requirements. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to coordinate patient care and ensure a holistic approach to rehabilitation. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with the latest advancements in occupational therapy practice and maintain professional licensure. Requirements
- Possess a Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify occupational performance deficits and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and independence in daily living activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
