Key Responsibilities : Barback Duties : -Restock the bar with spirits, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies during service. -Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including wiping surfaces, cleaning spills, and washing glassware. -Replenish ice, kegs, and other essential items to ensure bartenders can serve efficiently. -Assist bartenders in preparing garnishes and basic drink components. -Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to the team. -Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all bar operations. Training and Development : -Learn bar operations, including drink preparation, recipe execution, and bar setup / close-down procedures. -Shadow experienced bartenders to understand the art of mixology and guest interaction. -Participate in regular training sessions covering cocktail techniques, bar tools, and customer service. Bartender Duties (Post-Training) : -Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine, according to recipes and guest preferences. -Engage with guests to create a welcoming and memorable bar experience. -Maintain consistent quality and presentation for all drinks served. -Collaborate with the bar team to develop new cocktails and seasonal specials. -Handle cash, tabs, and point-of-sale transactions accurately. Qualifications : -A passion for hospitality and interest in cocktail culture. -Strong physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items (e.g., kegs, ice buckets). -Excellent teamwork and communication skills. -Willingness to learn and grow within the bar industry. -Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. -Previous experience in hospitality is a plus but not required.
