Reporting to Senior Manager Assembly Engineering Transfer / NPI as technical lead to NPI and transfer programs with focus on technical readiness, schedule attainment, early quality risk mitigation and supply disruption. May include process technology introduction and enhancements to meet challenging market demand.
Key responsibilities
- Assembly engagement for transfer and NPI / NPD activities in external manufacturing sites.
- Provide process engineering support to external manufacturing sites.
- Responsible for technical resolution of internal (subcon) and external (customer return) assembly
related issues, systemic subcon quality improvement for transfer and development programs.
Monitor and improve assembly yield to meet defined yield target for new packages and devicesduring development and low volume manufacturing.
Responsible for process characterization and optimization, yield and qualityimprovement of assigned areas / projects
Performs other duties as required by immediate superior from time to time.Responsible for documentation preparation and presentation in applicable review boards.Responsible for assembly technical aspect of new assembly process start-up- device transfer, process development andqualification.
Ad hoc involvement in process audits for qualification or customer failures in safe launch production stageTravel, manage, monitor and report on all assigned NPD projects upon released into production.Bachelor of Engineering / Science for related fieldMinimum 5 years of working experience.Process knowledge on product characteristics, process and equipment capabilities.Possess sound analytical skills.Able to gather, organize and analyze information / dataGood knowledge on use of statistical DOE for process optimization.Understand fundamental science of materials used in productionAble to lead team to improve product quality / yield / cost / cycle timeAble to communicate and interact effectively.Heightened sense of urgency
