Main tasks & Responsibilities :

  • Database Installation and Configuration : Install and configure Oracle database software.Set up database instances, configure database parameters, and manage database storage.
  • Database Maintenance and Monitoring : Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and upgrades.Monitor database performance and tune the system for optimal performance.Implement and manage database security measures.
  • Performance Tuning and Optimization : Analyze and resolve database performance issues.Optimize SQL queries and database performance.
  • Database Security : Implement and enforce database security policies.Manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.Generate regular reports on database performance, health, and usage.
  • Support and Troubleshooting : Provide support for database-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.Work with development and support teams to resolve database-related issues.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience : 3-5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.Experience with Oracle versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in SQL and PL / SQL.Strong understanding of Oracle architecture and database concepts.Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager and other database management tools.Knowledge of UNIX / Linux and Windows operating systems.Experience with backup and recovery tools such as RMAN.Experience with cloud databases and services (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure).Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python)
  • Soft Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
