The Digital Engineer builds data capabilities to enable development and scaling of digital use cases.
OT Data Foundation APAC Product Owner : maintains and improves Asset Data Model and Production Data Model standards
RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY ACTIVITIES :
Main purpose
Implement, maintain and improve the OT Data Foundation across APAC sites.
Building data capabilities to enable development and scaling digital use cases.
The Digital Engineer works closely with factory Automation, Process Improvement, Continuous Improvement teams as well as the Global Engineering Digitalization & Automation group.

Deliver OT Data Foundation and subsequent digital project CER commitments.

- Promote digital transformation by :
- Collaborating in agile methodology to create value from data for end-users
- Working with scaling up in mind so that use cases can be re-applied in other factories
- Developing and safeguarding JDE data models according to agreed standards
- Continuously developing themselves and others to integrate digitalization into the organization
- Role model continuous improvement mindset :
support MOS Pillars with focus on digital space, self-learning, fast interation
Delivery & Cost :
Building data capabilities within OT Data Foundation
Extract and tag (mainly) OT data from PLC, SCADA, MES, Gateways, IoT devices, . .Ingest data into OT Data Foundation platformContextualize data within the Asset Data ModelBuild extended data models for specific use cases following global standardsCollaboration with Data Foundation Lead (central Product Owner) to maintain and improve Asset Data Model standards, data lineages and ensure data quality in source systemsMaintain all relevant documentation (e.g. factory system landscape)Act as OT Data Foundation regional Product OwnerContinuous Improvement
Collaborate actively with MOS improvement teams to screen for potential improvements
Support MOS Pillars, Kaizen teams and all other relevant departmentsExchange and benchmark actively with other factories to help and re-apply solutionsLead digital projects in own factory and support other factoriesCommunication and change management for adoption with all relevant stakeholder groupsProactively demonstrate self-learning attitude – stay up to date with relevant technologies and collaborate with core OT Data Foundation vendorDevelop and maintain digital use cases
Enable digital use cases through building data capabilities in OT Data Foundation
Work in an agile way to discover and prototype Minimal Viable Products (MVP), test, adapt and decide to scale (or fail) fastRoll-out digital use cases, IT / OT projects and Engineering Projects
Lead or participate in digital projects
Where applicable, follow waterfall project management as defined in the Engineering Standard and CapexPro : Pre-Engineering, Develop, Deploy, OperateMaintain Asset Data Model and Production Data Model standard for all new / changed equipmentQualifications

Academic Program : Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Industrial IT, (or related field).Experienced : At least 3-5 years in professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.Skillset :Expert in Operational Technology (OT) systems in the factory : PLC, SCADA, MESInternet of Things (IoT) devices : communication protocols, gatewaysIOT platform management : ingest, contextualize data, Asset Data ModelsNetwork basics : understanding TCP / IP, UDP, EthernetContinuous Improvement : TPM concepts (focus on Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Initiative Management (Early Equipment Management)Experience with waterfall and agile projects methodologiesInterpersonal skills : training, coaching, change managementPersonal traits : You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.Additional Information
