As a Plant Production Engineer at OCIM SDN BHD, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing production processes within our plant operations. You will play a key role in ensuring that production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while meeting quality requirements.

  • Design and implement production processes and workflows for optimal efficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate production operations to ensure adherence to quality standards and production targets.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, and maintenance, to optimize production processes.
  • Manage and coordinate production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Develop and maintain production documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality control records.
  • Lead and train production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in equipment selection, installation, and validation processes.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of raw materials and equipment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills :

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
