Payments Associate

The Payments Associate is responsible for processing, verifying and reconciling payment transactions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with Finance policy and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in managing the day-to-day payment operations, supporting month-end financial activities. -Assist Payments Accountant in day-to-day operations by ensuring that payments are made timely and accurately, and ensuring that invoices are properly validated, verified and approved before processing for payment. -Process and validate invoices in upstream systems before being routed for verification, and manage any exception handling -Assist Payments Accountant in following up with business users on queries and payment matters. -Participate and assist in system enhancement business requirements gathering and testing. -Any ad hoc duties assigned by Payments Accountant. • Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance.   -Able to work independently, collaboratively and under tight deadlines. -Adaptable to changes and a problem solver. -Good interpersonal skills and communication skills. -Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP will be advantageous.
