Position : Senior PHP Laravel Developer

Tenure : Permanent

Location : Bangsar South

Salary : RM 8,000 – RM 12,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.
  • Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and security of applications.
  • Write unit tests and debug applications to maintain code quality and robustness.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Manage and optimize MySQL databases, ensuring data consistency and security.
  • Adhere to best practices in coding, architecture, and security standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to improving team workflows.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing applications.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies, industry trends, and frameworks to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in PHP development, with at least 8 years working with the Laravel framework.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Hands-on experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Proven expertise in developing RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
  • Experience working with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
  • Exposure to CI / CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js, or React.js is a plus.
  • Experience with Docker and other deployment tools is an advantage.
  • Understanding of security best practices and performance optimization techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a team player mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
