Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Establish and oversee Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (PM & PdM) programs to minimize unplanned breakdowns. Apply best practices such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Manage the inspection and support registration, and maintenance of boilers, pressure vessels, lifting equipment, and other DOSH-regulated assets. Coordinate internal audits and regulatory inspections by DOSH, ensuring all corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Lead Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures to enhance workplace safety.
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability while controlling costs.
- Ensure strict compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and safety incidents, implementing corrective actions.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians in executing maintenance tasks.
- Provide training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and new technologies.
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve team performance.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget (OPEX) while optimizing costs without compromising reliability and safety.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through Energy Management & Optimization Programs.
- Lead mechanical engineering projects including equipment modifications, debottlenecking, and plant expansions.
- Capable to understand, review and approve mechanical design specifications and technical drawings (P&ID, layout etc.)
- Ensure project timelines and budgets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Foster collaboration between engineering, and production teams to optimize plant performance.
- Ensure compliance to Health, Safety & Environment for safe working environment which include requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, HALAL and HACCP.
- Ability to communicate efficiently in all levels from non- executive employees to higher management level.
Job Requirements :
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.Having at least 8 years of mechanical engineering experience in chemical manufacturing process plant environment.Work experience in petrochemical, chemical and oleochemical industry is preferable.Preferred experience in handling utility equipment, including chillers, boilers, and industrial air (IA) compressors.Knowledge of fabricated equipment, materials, inspection, and relevant design codes.Fundamental understanding of plant control & instrumentation systems.Benefit Package :
