Job description
Lead the efforts to increase sales team capabilities, portfolio utilisation, new product introductions and best practice implementation for the following product segments :
1. Waterproofing
2. Sealants
Ensure that the product segment sales budgets are achieved / exceeded across the region
Develop the capabilities of construction sales teams via participation in candidate identification, selection, training, coaching and retention
Act as the key linkage between the regional / local team and Group Product Segment Managers and Heads of Technology
Lead in the management of selected key accounts / major projects across the region
Lead the development of a cost effective and high performance product portfolio across the regionResponsibilities Working with local GSMs and teams to implement the sales and technical programmes
Participate in candidate selection, training, coaching and development for sales and technical roles
Working with construction sales teams to improve productivity and performance
Regular communication with Group leaders to transfer knowledge and best practice
Manage the portfolio via structured product development, launch and cost optimisation
Working with local GSMs, participate in sales and technical activities for selected Key Accounts and major projectsSkills requiredEssential :
Min 10 years-experience in a commercial or technical role with one or more of :
Concrete chemicals supplier
Multinational contractor in materials engineering o
Multinational architect or consultant
Applicator with major projects experience
Excellent understanding of the relevant product segments, with particular ability to interpret customer requirements into competitive solutions
Proven ability to :
Lead multicultural and cross functional teams, in a matrix organisation, without direct reports
Interface with and influence senior stakeholders across a regional and global organisation
Able to demonstrate personal impact in developing an organisation / function from a start-up or business recovery situation
Excellent communication skills
Desirable :
Previous experience in the construction / cement / concrete / construction industry in SE Asia
Experience and / or qualifications in project management
Experience with Key Account Management
Affiliation with a recognised industry / trade bodyEducational requirementsDegree in architecture, civil engineering or chemistryJob role notesStrong experience in construction chemicals (in the area of waterproofing and / or sealant, coating, flooring, specification)
Sales and marketing experience, with some technical competency in construction chemicals
Regional experience / exposure in SEA region
