Backend Developer

Your primary responsibilities will be : -Design and development of Backend APIs in Javascript, Typescript, and PostgreSQL -Development and integration with authentication, authorization, content management systems, and other internal and third party APIs. -Maintain design and API documentations (TypeSpec and OpenAPI specifications) -Contribute to development of platform architecture e.g. : -System architecture and infrastructure -Containerization -CI / CD workflows (e.g. Github Actions) -Collaborate with Development and Product team to deliver robust and user-friendly web applications and backend infrastructure -Uphold best practices in development including : -Testing and quality assurance  -Release management -Peer reviews of code and solution design -Documentation of internal design systems -Hybrid work - work in office at least 3 days / week i.e. Tuesday, Wednesay, Thursday [Apply now at https : / / my.hiredly.com / jobs / jobs-malaysia-uni-enrol-sdn-bhd-job-backend-developer]

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. -At least 2 years of backend development, preferably building APIs for web applications.  -Exposure to OpenAPI v3, TypeSpec is preferred. -Strong knowledge and experience in JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, PostgreSQL.  -Exposure to expressjs or koajs framework is preferred. -Experience with version control systems (e.g. GitHub / GitLab).  -Experience with package managers and build tools (e.g. npm, yarn, shell scripting). -Knowledge or exposure to the following technologies are plus points : -Observability and Monitoring (e.g. OpenTelemetry) -Containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) -Cloud services (e.g. AWS, GCP, Vercel) -Unit / Integration Test Frameworks (e.g. Jest) -Ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English is crucial.
