Principal Process Engineer

Wood is recruiting a PRINCIPAL Process Engineer, who has a vast experience in Oil & Gas business industry, especially in handling contaminants such as CO2, H2S, Mercury, etc in multiple projects to join our Kuala Lumpur Office team to support the Operations APAC (West) engineering activities.

Wood's Operations business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services to the energy (oil and gas upstream and downstream business) & materials sectors within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The APAC Region enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region’s most prominent energy producers, actively supporting operations in Western Australia - Northern Territory, Malaysia and South East Asia. All, united by our common purpose to unlock solutions to the world’s most critical challenges.

Suitably qualified with relevant engineering degree (preferably in Bachelor of Chemical Engineering) from an accredited university, with extensive experience in process engineering design, with a proven track record in delivering brownfield and greenfield projects.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold valid work rights to work lawfully in this Malaysian location.

In addition, you will have :

• 20+ years of relevant experience in the offshore / onshore Oil and Gas upstream / downstream industry
• Registered with professional qualifications body (. Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent) is preferred, but not mandatory
• Proficiency in process simulation and design software
• Competent in Technical Process design / environmental requirements, procedures, process regulations and applicable industry codes / standards and responsibilities
• A commitment to nurturing the development of junior engineers and contributing to their career growth
• Ability to manage complex engineering projects and / or multi-disciplinary teams with various offices (work-share projects)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent report writing and oral communication skills
• Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical context
• Able to demonstrate a level of team working skills
• Experienced in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work
