Overview

We are looking for experienced Technical Writers to create and manage comprehensive documentation for our software products. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our users, developers, and stakeholders can easily understand and utilize our products to their fullest potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, system architecture overviews, and troubleshooting guides.

Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation.

Work with development teams to document new features, enhancements, and changes in the software.

Create tutorials, code samples, and other materials to assist users in understanding and using our products effectively.

Review and edit documentation produced by other team members to ensure consistency and quality.

Establish and maintain documentation standards and best practices.

Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to continually improve documentation.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to ensure our documentation is current and relevant.

Collaborate with an existing team of technical writers, developers, and product managers to produce cohesive and comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Linguistics or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical writer in the software industry.

Proven ability to document programming languages, databases, and / or middleware components.

Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of XML, DITA and relevant editors and tools are a plus.
