ERM supports every stage of the business / asset lifecycle, including techno / economic analysis of new emerging clean technologies and fuels, net zero strategies, site selection and permitting for new renewable power generation, network modelling, carbon removal projects and more.

The tripling of renewable energy deployment expected by the end of the decade is driving strong demand for ERM services. In order to meet this demand, ERM has a Sustainable Energies Partner-level opportunity available for an established leader who combines strong consulting and client service skills with a solid technical foundation, and a track record of leading high performing teams to sell and deliver world-class services. This role would focus particularly on the suite of emerging clean energy technologies that are increasingly relevant in commercial applications across multiple sectors including (but not limited to) renewables, green and blue hydrogen / ammonia and fuel cells, biomass, e-fuels, transport, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), energy storage, energy networks and smart energy systems, energy and process efficiency and the built environment.

Role profile :

While the role would ideally be based in Korea or Taiwan, it would involve project work across Asia. The focus areas for the Sustainable Energies Partner will be to :

Lead and mentor a team that will support and assist Sustainable Energy engagements with clients across Asia including : renewables, hydrogen / ammonia, fuel cells, biomass, e-fuels, transport, CCUS, energy storage, networks and smart systems, energy and process efficiency and the built environment.

Contribute to leadership and management of project execution activities in support of ERM clients’ projects, including overseeing consulting engagements to ensure high quality and profitable delivery.

Foster, expand, and leverage a network of excellent client relationships with a focused set of energy sector companies (including regulated utilities) consistent with our growth strategy and trajectory.

Develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality service.

Maintain a working knowledge of industry business cycles and prioritize sales efforts toward high potential, top opportunities.

Drive innovation within the sector to stay ahead of client needs and to differentiate ERM in the market.

Meet business health & safety performance standards, financial targets, overall project budgets and schedules, client satisfaction / expectations, and internal risk management and contractual requirements.

Qualifications :

BA / BS / MS in physics, chemistry, engineering, or related field.

15+ years of progressive experience in either a consulting environment or working substantially with the energy sector. Substantial experience within any of the energy, power, chemicals, renewable generation or energy networks markets in Asia is required.

Recognized technical expertise and an established reputation in the Asian market.

In-depth understanding of the energy, power and renewable industry and the companies operating in this market, including existing relationships that can be leveraged into new business.

Demonstrated understanding of the energy, power and renewable regulatory environment, key regulatory agencies, and current and emerging issues.

Business acumen to understand business risks and challenges, and to recognize opportunities to provide enterprise-wide solutions for clients.

Demonstrable track record in delivering multi-million dollar sales / programs.
